


Tim joined MediaRecall in 2009 as its head of sales and marketing. Prior to joining MediaRecall, Tim has had a long and distinguished career in the film studio licensing and related businesses. Tim started his 15 year media career as the Executive Director of Licensing and Marketing at Paramount Pictures, where he worked from 1993 to 1999. Under Tim's leadership, his division grew from $1MM to $30MM in revenues in less than five years, licensing studio related content and film brand usage to third parties. Between 1999 to 2009, Tim founded, ran and successfully sold three similar businesses, licensing the use of key movie or sports related properties around various international traveling themed attractions. Tim received his BA from Westmont College in 1988.
Ryan joined MediaRecall in 2009 as its CFO. Prior to joining MediaRecall, Ryan had ten years of finance, management and technology consulting experience, most recently serving as the CFO of Brekford International from 2006 through 2008. In this role, he led the company through a period of solid growth – from sales of $9.0 million in 2005 to over $19 million in 2007. The scope of his work is broad, encompassing financial reporting to strategic planning to interfacing with investors and the SEC.
From 2002 -2006, Ryan served as Controller of an emerging information security solutions provider. He successfully led that company through an IPO, with personal responsibility for business plan development, valuation modeling, M&A activity, public/IR, financial management and accounting, marketing communications, SEC filing and compliance and audit. From 1999 to 2001, Ryan worked for the global consultancy, PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a consultant in the Strategy Group specializing in Corporate and Operations Strategy. Clients included Motorola, Transora, Edward Jones and Sprint PCS. Ryan has rounded out his entrepreneurial experiences by starting his own consulting business and serving as Director of IT for an international medical practice management firm. Ryan earned his Bachelor's in Neuroscience and Chemistry at Vanderbilt University and MBA at Oklahoma State University.
Jay Blomquist has led technology strategy and software development for the company from its inception. Jay has been a leader in the development of computer and software technology for the past 14 years. After developing software solutions for various film and television production companies, he recognized the need for a web-based set of tools to process digital media from any location, not just in the edit suite. From this realization, he worked with Robin to develop (and continues to develop) the advanced workflow processes and develop) the advanced workflow processes and toolkit that provide MediaRecall with the competitive advantage and pending process-patent status it enjoys today. Jay's strategic focus delivers media management tools that are web-based and are virtually 100% compatible with off-the-shelf, inexpensive hardware to accomplish remarkable tasks. As a current, active member of Mensa International, Jay applies creative thinking to solve day-to-day problems, introduce operating efficiencies, and position the company for future growth. From his past experience in training thousands of corporate employees and managers in new software and technology concepts, MediaRecall is able to offer highly usable and efficient functionality that requires very little training to become an expert. Prior to founding MediaRecall, Jay was Head Technology Instructor for AACTT (American Academy of Computer Training and Technology), providing instruction to over 3,000 corporate employees from over 500 companies, including Abbott Laboratories, Chicago Public Schools, McDonalds, Motorola, Northrup Grumman, Bank One, Northern Illinois University and the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources. Mr. Blomquist attended Northern Illinois University where he studied Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electronics Engineering.
As early as 1999, Robin Rutledge identified the future demand for a high-speed, low-cost migration of traditional video media, to searchable, accessible, digital formats for use on the Web. Founding MediaRecall in 2003, Robin helped design and implement the development of MediaRecall's proprietary workflow toolset and secured contracts for beta tests with major television content holders, including WTTW/Chicago and WGBH/Boston, among others, resulting in a process patent application for proven method for digitizing, transcoding and creating highly accurate metadata. Since September 2007, Robin was responsible for establishing long-term service agreements with premier media client such as Getty Images, BBC, ITN Source (UK), NHK (Tokyo), WPA Film Library, National Geographic, Deluxe Digital (Burbank) and the Johnny Carson Show estate, among others. Prior to founding MediaRecall, Robin had a distinguished career as Founder and President of Luminair Film Productions from 1975-1999, driving multi-million dollar annual revenues with marquee clients such as McDonald's, Motorola, Sears, the Chicago White Sox, and the Miller Brewing Company until that company's sale. Robin graduated with “Honors for Excellence” from Columbia College Chicago and since has won dozens of national and international film awards, including Emmys, Addys, Cine Golden Eagles, New York Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, and a Peabody Award, among others.
